Mahomes Nominated for Payton Award Alongside 31 Others
The Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year Award nominees were announced, recognizing 32 players for their commitment to making a positive impact off the field. Each team has one nominee for the prestigious honor, with the winner receiving a $250,000 donation to the charity of their choice. Fans can vote for their favorite nominee using #WPMOYChallenge and the nominee’s name/handle. The award will be presented during the NFL Honors broadcast. Established in 1970 and renamed in 1999, the award honors the late Walter Payton. Three current players have won the award and wear a special jersey patch to commemorate the honor.
