Vikings star continues to be sidelined from playing on the field
Star wide receiver Justin Jefferson will not be activated from the injured reserve in time for Sunday night’s game against the Denver Broncos. His 21-day practice window was opened on Nov. 8, so he may miss one or two more games before returning. The team has noted good progress for Jefferson and is close to activating him, but he wasn’t ready by the deadline. Quarterback Nick Mullens has been activated from IR, providing a stronger backup option. Additionally, the Vikings have promoted linebacker Anthony Barr and cornerback Joejuan Williams from the practice squad for Sunday’s game.
