However, the team will be without tight end Pat Freiermuth for at least four games, as he has been placed on the injured reserve list. Johnson is expected to provide a spark in route-running and help quarterback Kenny Pickett by being a reliable target. Freiermuth, on the other hand, has been dealing with a hamstring injury and aggravated it during practice. He will not be eligible to return until Week 11.
