On November 14, 1971, Dick Butkus made a game-winning catch in a comeback victory for the Chicago Bears. The Bears had scored a late touchdown to tie the game, but a high snap on the extra point attempt forced the quarterback to run with the ball. In a scramble, Butkus made an impressive over-the-shoulder grab in the end zone. Despite his intimidating size, Butkus was known for his good hands and had a successful career with interceptions and fumble recoveries. Butkus passed away recently, and the NFL and TMZ released statements honoring his legacy as one of the greatest linebackers in NFL history.
