ESPN Analyst Doubts Colts’ Shane Steichen Will Let Anthony Richardson Sr. Off the Hook for Legal Troubles
Indianapolis Colts head coach Shane Steichen addressed questions about Anthony Richardson Sr.’s recent misdemeanor marijuana possession charge but stated it won’t affect the decision to keep Daniel Jones as the starting quarterback against the Jacksonville Jaguars. ESPN’s Ben Solak speculated that backup Riley Leonard might become QB1 by Week 10, suggesting Richardson’s legal issues could disrupt the quarterback depth chart. Richardson’s comments downplayed his situation, raising concerns about his eagerness to return to the field. Colts owner Carlie Irsay-Gordon recently fired GM Chris Ballard, heightening the scrutiny on quarterback performance ahead of the upcoming game.
