QB Notebook: Time to Revisit Your J.J. McCarthy Opinions; Should We Consider Benching Daniel Jones?
In this week’s Quarterback Notebook, J.J. McCarthy made a notable debut for the Giants but shows inconsistency, especially with deep throws. Despite a standout performance against the Texans, concerns about his passing precision persist. Daniel Jones is struggling significantly, averaging low QBR and posing questions about his future with the Colts amid a possible rebuild. Meanwhile, defensive strategies like the “double A-gap” look are challenging quarterbacks, evidenced by poor performance metrics across the league. Caleb Williams showcased talent under pressure, earning praise for his clutch play against the Patriots. Baker Mayfield plays a careful role as he returns from injury.
