NFL Decides Against Disciplining Eagles for Jalen Hurts’ Blood Clot Management
The Philadelphia Eagles will not face disciplinary action regarding their management of quarterback Jalen Hurts’ blood clots, according to an anonymous source. The NFL confirmed it has coordinated with Eagles medical staff and the Cleveland Clinic in London during Hurts’ treatment. Hurts, currently on injured reserve, has been diagnosed with deep vein thrombosis and bilateral pulmonary emboli, stemming from a calf injury. His treatment with blood thinners prohibits him from participating in football activities until further notice. Hurts initially reported symptoms after a game in London on October 11, before being diagnosed with a superficial vein thrombosis.
