Steelers Place Wilson on Injured Reserve Due to Finger Injury
The Pittsburgh Steelers have placed receiver Roman Wilson on injured reserve due to a finger injury, marking the second key loss for the team in two weeks, following Michael Pittman Jr.’s foot injury. Wilson, a favorite target of quarterback Aaron Rodgers, had two touchdowns this season. To address these absences, the Steelers elevated receivers Brandon Smith and Brandon Johnson from the practice squad. Receiver Ben Skowronek is also ruled out, leaving Pittsburgh without three of their top five pass catchers for the upcoming game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Tight end Pat Freiermuth is listed as questionable.
