Ravens TE Durham Smythe Out for the Season with Torn Achilles
Baltimore Ravens’ tight end Durham Smythe suffered a torn Achilles during the game against the Tennessee Titans and will miss the rest of the season, confirmed by MRI results. Smythe, 31, was signed this offseason to provide depth due to prior losses at the position. He played over 100 snaps this season, excelling in blocking despite not being a key receiver. With Smythe out, rookie tight ends Matthew Hibner and Josh Cuevas are expected to step up, although they will need to improve their blocking skills. The Ravens may also seek additional veteran help as injuries pile up across the team.
