Who is Jalon Daniels? The Undrafted Quarterback Turned Buccaneers Starter
Baker Mayfield, the quarterback for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, will miss several weeks due to a dislocated thumb, leading to undrafted rookie Jalon Daniels starting against the Green Bay Packers. Daniels is the first Kansas quarterback to start for the Bucs and has faced a tumultuous college career marked by injuries and a mix of success and challenges. He impressed in preseason, completing 61.4% of passes and showing promise as a scrambler. Now, with Tampa’s poor 0-3 start, he has a chance to uplift the team’s performance, aiming for an upset victory and proving his worth in the NFL.
