Cards’ Mike LaFleur optimistic Jeremiyah Love plays in Week 1

Cards’ Mike LaFleur Hopeful for Jeremiyah Love’s Week 1 Participation

Cardinals coach Mike LaFleur expressed optimism about first-round pick Jeremiyah Love’s potential return for Sunday’s game against the Chargers, following a high ankle sprain suffered in August. LaFleur noted that Love was “moving around” during Monday’s walk-through and is showing progress. Love, drafted third overall from Notre Dame, has not practiced since his injury during the preseason against the Raiders. The Cardinals’ initial 53-man roster includes running backs Tyler Allgeier and Bam Knight, along with Love, while Evan Hull has been signed to the practice squad. The team’s first injury report will be issued on Wednesday.
