Vikings Icon Harrison Smith Set to Rejoin Minnesota on One-Year Contract, According to Reports
The Minnesota Vikings have re-signed veteran safety Harrison Smith for one year at $12.25 million, marking his 15th NFL season. At 37, Smith, a former All-Pro and six-time Pro Bowler, leads active players with 39 career interceptions. Drafted 12th overall in 2012 from Notre Dame, he has also recorded 1,180 tackles, 21.5 sacks, and 106 pass breakups. Despite not making the Pro Bowl since 2021, he remained effective last season with two interceptions and 54 tackles. Smith returns to bolster a revamped defense after the Vikings drafted multiple defensive players, including first-rounder Caleb Banks.
