Former NFL Star Tony Romo Receives Driving Ban and Pledges to “Own My Mistakes” Following OWI Arrest
Tony Romo, CBS NFL analyst and former Dallas Cowboys quarterback, pleaded no contest to operating while intoxicated following his July 23 arrest in Wisconsin. Romo, who apologized for his actions, faces a six-month driving suspension, must complete an alcohol assessment, and owes $834 in fines. An interlock device will be required on his vehicles for at least a year. He attributed his struggles to chronic pain from back surgeries and subsequent dependency on pain medication and alcohol.
