Ex-Michigan LB Michael Barrett Signs with Ravens, Reunites with Jesse Minter
The Baltimore Ravens signed linebacker Michael Barrett, reuniting him with former Michigan defensive coordinator Jesse Minter. The move addresses the team’s linebacker depth issues due to injuries to Jamon Johnson, Carl Jones Jr., and Reid Williford. Barrett, 26, previously starred at Michigan, recording 137 tackles and multiple big plays during his tenure. Drafted by the Panthers in 2024, he had stints with the Seahawks, Browns, and Packers before joining the UFL in 2026. To clear space for Barrett, the Ravens placed center Danny Pinter on injured reserve and waived Williford with an injury designation.
