Baltimore Ravens Waive Former Vanderbilt Star Diego Pavia
Diego Pavia’s brief tenure with the Baltimore Ravens has ended, as the team waived the former Vanderbilt quarterback just before training camp. Pavia, an undrafted free agent, had a standout final season at Vanderbilt, achieving 3,539 passing yards, a 70.6% completion rate, 29 touchdown passes, and 862 rushing yards. He was recognized as Vanderbilt’s first Heisman finalist, finishing second in votes. With Pavia’s departure, the competition for the Ravens’ third-string quarterback now includes veteran Skylar Thompson and undrafted free agent Joe Fagnano. His release also cleared a spot for veteran center Ethan Pocic on the 90-man roster.
