After a Successful All-UFL Season, Battlehawks WR Hakeem Butler Aims for NFL Opportunity
St. Louis Battlehawks head coach Ricky Proehl has praised receiver Hakeem Butler, a standout since joining the team in 2023. Standing 6-foot-5 and weighing 242 pounds, Butler led the UFL in receiving yards (641) and yards per catch (22.1) in 2026, earning All-UFL honors. Despite his impressive stats and record as the all-time leader in spring football receiving yards (2,192), he hasn’t secured a long-term NFL position. Proehl believes Butler’s unique skills could translate into a hybrid tight end/receiver role in the NFL. Butler remains focused on self-improvement as he prepares for the UFL semifinal against Louisville.
