Cowboys Explored Trade for Myles Garrett, Should Now Pursue New Target
Cleveland.com’s Mary Kay Cabot reports that while the Dallas Cowboys and Philadelphia Eagles showed interest in trading for Myles Garrett, he ultimately joined the Los Angeles Rams in a blockbuster deal. This bolsters the Rams’ Super Bowl hopes, leaving the Cowboys and Eagles searching for elite pass rushers. The Cowboys previously attempted to acquire Maxx Crosby but missed out. An alternative target could be Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker Nick Herbig, who had an outstanding 2025 season and is entering the last year of his rookie contract. Given the Cowboys’ needs, trading for Herbig could greatly enhance their pass rush without a major financial investment.
