J.J. McCarthy and Katya Kuropas announced their marriage on April 11 via Instagram. The ceremony took place at Zadún, the first Ritz-Carlton Reserve in San José del Cabo, Mexico. McCarthy proposed in January 2024. Congratulatory messages poured in from friends, including former Vikings teammate Cam Bynum and actor Taylor Lautner. The couple, dating since 2018, welcomed their first child, Rome, in September. McCarthy, drafted by the Minnesota Vikings as the No. 10 pick in 2024, missed his rookie season due to a knee injury but played 10 games in 2025, throwing for 1,632 yards and 11 touchdowns.
