Rams dismiss special teams coordinator following Thursday Night Football defeat
The Los Angeles Rams have fired special teams coordinator Chase Blackburn after a string of special teams miscues in recent games. The Rams, currently sitting at 11-4 and in second place in the NFC West, lost to the Seahawks due to a punt return for a touchdown and a missed field goal. Assistant special teams coach Ben Kotwica will now take over as the lead special teams coach. Rams head coach Sean McVay made this move, marking his first in-season coaching change in his nine seasons with the Rams. Blackburn was in his third season with the team before being let go.
