Chargers Running Back Najee Harris Expected to Start Training Camp on Non-Football Injury List Following Fireworks Incident
Los Angeles Chargers running back Najee Harris suffered an eye injury in a fireworks accident at a Fourth of July event and is expected to start training camp on the non-football injury list. Despite the injury, his agent stated that he will be ready to play in the upcoming NFL season. Harris, a former Pro Bowler, signed a one-year, $9.5 million deal with the Chargers after leaving the Pittsburgh Steelers. He has consistently surpassed 1,000 rushing yards in each of his four seasons and is one of the few running backs in the last two decades to achieve this feat. Harris is expected to have a short stay on the NFI list before returning to team activities.
