Rooney, a Longtime Executive and Member of Six Super Bowl-Winning Teams, Passes Away

Tim Rooney, a longtime NFL executive and nephew of Pittsburgh Steelers founder Art Rooney Sr., passed away at the age of 84 after being diagnosed with cancer. Rooney initially joined the Steelers as a scout in 1972 before becoming their director of pro scouting. He played a key role in drafting Hall of Fame linebacker Jack Lambert and was later hired by the Detroit Lions and New York Giants.
