Travis Hunter signs rookie contract with Jaguars following minicamp delay, secures $30.6M bonus upfront
Travis Hunter has officially signed his rookie contract with the Jacksonville Jaguars, ending a delay that extended through OTAs and mandatory minicamp. As the No. 2 pick in the NFL Draft, Hunter is due $46.65 million over four years, with a fifth-year option. He will receive his entire $30.57 million signing bonus up front, a unique arrangement for a non-quarterback not drafted first overall. Despite the lack of a deal, Hunter participated in offseason practices. The Jaguars traded up to get Hunter, hoping the Heisman Trophy winner can help turn around the franchise’s fortunes after missing the playoffs in recent years.
