Jay Ratliff, a former defensive tackle for the Dallas Cowboys, is being featured in the “100 Days of Cowboys” countdown leading up to the 2025 NFL season opener against the Philadelphia Eagles. Ratliff, born in 1981, played for the Cowboys from 2005 to 2013. Despite being selected in the seventh round and considered undersized for a nose tackle, Ratliff became a dominant presence in the Cowboys’ defense. He earned multiple Pro Bowl selections and was named a first-team All-Pro. Ratliff’s ability to disrupt offenses and outperform expectations made him a key player for the Cowboys.
