Per a report, DeShon Elliott of the Steelers signs two-year, $12.5 million contract extension.

The Pittsburgh Steelers signed safety DeShon Elliott to a two-year, $12.5 million extension with $9.21 million guaranteed. Elliott, 28, set career highs in tackles and turnovers during his first season with the team. The Steelers are locking up a key contributor to their defense in his prime. Elliott previously played for the Ravens, Lions, and Dolphins before joining the Steelers. He is part of a secondary that includes Minkah Fitzpatrick, Darius Slay, Joey Porter Jr., and Beanie Bishop Jr. The Steelers also acquired Juan Thornhill and Brandin Echols in the offseason to strengthen their secondary.
