Colts issue apology to Tyreek Hill for controversial video mocking violent police stop

The Indianapolis Colts apologized for a Minecraft video announcing their NFL schedule that mocked Miami receiver Tyreek Hill. The video depicted a dolphin with Hill’s jersey being stopped by a Coast Guard boat, referencing a controversial traffic stop Hill experienced last season. Hill later claimed officers mistreated him during the stop, which resulted in dropped traffic citations. The Colts removed the video after failing to clear rights with Microsoft, the owner of Minecraft’s intellectual property. The Los Angeles Chargers also released a Minecraft video for their schedule, but received permission from Microsoft. The Colts apologized to Microsoft and Hill for the insensitive clip.
