Travis Hunter Seeks to Accomplish Unprecedented Feat, Says Mike Vrabel

Patriots coach Mike Vrabel is uncertain if Travis Hunter, the 2024 Heisman Trophy winner, can handle playing both offense and defense in the NFL. While some teams view Hunter as a better wide receiver, most see him as a cornerback to start. The last true two-way player in the NFL was Chuck Bednarik in 1962, and Deion Sanders also played multiple positions during his career. The Patriots have the fourth overall pick in the upcoming draft, giving them a shot at adding Hunter, left tackle Will Campbell, or edge rusher Abdul Carter. Vrabel is open to playing players at more than one position if they show great skill and conditioning.
