Woman accused of killing reporter in SB.
A woman has been charged with second-degree murder in the death of a television reporter during the Super Bowl in New Orleans. Adan Manzano, a 27-year-old Telemundo reporter, was found dead in his hotel room. Danette Colbert, 48, was charged with his murder, despite inconclusive autopsy results. Authorities believe Manzano died from a combination of alcohol and Xanax. Security footage showed Colbert entering and leaving Manzano’s room, using his credit card afterwards. She has a history of theft and fraud charges, including drugging men to steal from them. Another individual was arrested in connection with theft and fraud charges. Police are confident they have enough evidence to convict Colbert.
