Report: Seahawks sign former Offensive Player of the Year Cooper Kupp to a lucrative $45 million contract
Cooper Kupp has signed a three-year, $45m contract with the Seattle Seahawks after being released by the Los Angeles Rams. The Super Bowl 56 MVP will help replace DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett in Seattle. Kupp, a Washington native who starred at Eastern Washington, won the AP Offensive Player of the Year in 2021. The Rams have added Davante Adams, while the Los Angeles Chargers signed guard Mekhi Becton and linebacker Del’Shawn Phillips. Kupp had struggled with injuries in recent seasons and had a rough finish in 2021, but has been a key player for the Rams throughout his career, catching 634 passes for 7,776 yards and 57 touchdowns.
