Cowboys ink one-year deal with veteran running back, Javonte Williams
The Dallas Cowboys sign running back Javonte Williams to a one-year, $3 million deal with incentives worth up to $3.5 million. Williams, drafted in the second round by the Denver Broncos in 2021, has played 54 games with 29 starts and 2,394 yards and 11 touchdowns. His best season was as a rookie with 903 yards. He also tore his ACL and LCL in 2022. The Cowboys now have Williams, Deuce Vaughn, and Hunter Luepke on the roster with more work needed at the running back position, as Rico Dowdle remains a free agent.
