Cowboys adjust Dak’s contract, increase cap by $36.6M

Todd Archer, an NFL reporter at ESPN who covers the Dallas Cowboys, reported that the Cowboys have restructured quarterback Dak Prescott’s contract to create $36.6 million in cap space for the 2025 season. This move comes after the team also restructured wide receiver CeeDee Lamb’s contract to free up additional cap room. Despite these moves, owner Jerry Jones stated that they are not necessarily looking to make big signings in free agency. The team is also in discussions with All-Pro pass rusher Micah Parsons for a contract extension. Overall, the Cowboys are taking a selective and strategic approach to free agency this year.
