After 10 seasons in the NFL, Jaguars center Morse announces retirement.
Michael DiRocco, an NFL Nation reporter for ESPN covering the Jacksonville Jaguars, announced the retirement of center Mitch Morse after a 10-year career that started with the Chiefs in 2015. Morse expressed gratitude for the memories and relationships he built with teammates. The 32-year-old signed a two-year contract with the Jaguars in March 2024. Morse, a former Pro Bowler, leaves the Jaguars with holes at center and right guard. The team is not expected to re-sign right guard Brandon Scherff. Morse’s retirement comes after a successful career that included 143 starts and ranking fourth among centers in pass block win rate in 2024.
