Insider Indicates Steelers Favor Justin Fields Over Russell Wilson
The Pittsburgh Steelers are prioritizing re-signing quarterback Justin Fields over bringing in Russell Wilson for springtime workouts. Steelers insider Mark Kaboly indicated that Fields is the team’s “plan A” and they may have to overpay to keep him from becoming a free agent. Despite some issues with offensive coordinator Arthur Smith, Fields is reportedly penciled in on the Steelers’ depth chart for 2025. The team is not pursuing Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford and has ruled out pursuing Aaron Rodgers.
