49ers’ Ricky Pearsall to make NFL debut vs. Chiefs, less than two months after suffering gunshot wound

Less than two months after being shot, 49ers’ Ricky Pearsall set to make NFL debut against Chiefs

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Ricky Pearsall, who was shot during an attempted robbery less than two months ago, will make his NFL debut in Sunday’s game against the Kansas City Chiefs. Pearsall returned to practice this week after being shot in the chest on August 31st, and was officially activated from the reserve/non-football injury list. General manager John Lynch praised Pearsall’s resilience in recovering from the shooting. Pearsall avoided severe organ damage and has three weeks to be activated before missing the rest of the season. Despite the traumatic incident, Pearsall is set to make his debut in the NFL.
