Report: Derek Carr Injury Status – Saints QB Could Be Back at Practice Soon, Unlikely to Play in Week 8
The New Orleans Saints are playing without Derek Carr for a second game as he recovers from an oblique injury suffered during Week 5. Reports suggest Carr may resume practice and possibly play in Week 8. The team currently has rookie Spencer Rattler filling in as the starting quarterback. However, additional hurdles need to be cleared for Carr to return to game action. Saints coach Dennis Allen indicated that Taysom Hill is more likely to return from injury before Carr. The Saints are hopeful that Carr will be ready to play in Week 8 after their game against the Denver Broncos. Carr had a 2-3 record with eight touchdowns and four interceptions before his injury.
