Cowboys’ Cooks (knee) put on IR, out 4 games

Cowboys’ Cooks placed on injured reserve with knee injury, to miss 4 games

Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Brandin Cooks has been placed on injured reserve due to a knee infection and will miss at least the next four games. Cooks developed the infection after a procedure following the team’s win against the Giants. The Cowboys are relying on other receivers like Jalen Tolbert and KaVontae Turpin in Cooks’ absence. The team also signed linebacker Nick Vigil and elevated defensive end Carl Lawson and cornerback Amani Oruwariye to the roster. Dallas is dealing with other injuries on the defensive line, including Micah Parsons and DeMarcus Lawrence, who is also on injured reserve.
