Cowboys depending on young players to step up even more in Week 5

Cowboys relying on young players to elevate performance in Week 5

Heading into the 2024 season, the Cowboys planned to rely on rookies and young players to fill roster gaps due to free agency exits. Injuries to Brandin Cooks, Micah Parsons, and DeMarcus Lawrence have created opportunities for these young players to step up. Rookie WR Ryan Flournoy is set to make his debut, inspired by Cooks’ leadership. On the defensive side, rookie Marshawn Kneeland will take on a bigger role in the absence of star pass rushers. The coaching staff is confident in the young players’ abilities to perform well in their absence and are working to support them as they step into key roles.
