NFL determines 49ers did not violate Injury Report Policy

NFL finds no violation of Injury Report Policy by 49ers

The San Francisco 49ers were under scrutiny for listing running back Christian McCaffrey as inactive without proper notification ahead of a game against the New York Jets. However, the NFL investigation concluded that they did not violate the Injury Report Policy. Replacement player Jordan Mason claimed he was informed earlier about getting the start, contradicting the team’s coach. If found guilty, fines would have been imposed. McCaffrey is already ruled out for the next game with the possibility of being placed on injured reserve. Despite the controversy, the 49ers were cleared of any wrongdoing by the league.
