Jordan Love injury: Packers QB hurts lower body on penultimate play of loss to Eagles, limps off field

Packers QB Jordan Love injures lower body in loss to Eagles, leaves game limping after final play

During the Green Bay Packers’ season opener against the Philadelphia Eagles, quarterback Jordan Love suffered a lower leg injury in the final seconds of the game. After getting the Packers to midfield, Love lateraled the ball back before being injured in a collapsing pocket. Malik Willis came in as a replacement, but the Packers ultimately lost 34-29. Head coach Matt LaFleur expressed uncertainty about Love’s condition. Love had been dealing with cramping throughout the game, but remained in before the injury. This season marks Love’s second as the Packers’ full-time starter. Last season, he led the team to a playoff berth, earning a lucrative contract extension in July.
