Chiefs WR Brown won’t need surgery on shoulder

Chiefs wide receiver Brown will not require shoulder surgery

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Marquise Brown dislocated his shoulder in a preseason game against the Jacksonville Jaguars but will not require surgery, according to coach Andy Reid. Brown’s shoulder was put back into place, and his recovery progress will determine if he can play in the season opener on September 5 against the Baltimore Ravens. Brown, a significant free agent addition for the Chiefs, is expected to strengthen their wide receiving corps alongside first-round pick Xavier Worthy. Last season with the Arizona Cardinals, Brown recorded 51 catches for 574 yards and four touchdowns.
