Adolescent receives sentencing for involvement in Chiefs rally shooting

A 15-year-old involved in the shooting at the Kansas City Chiefs’ Super Bowl rally has been sentenced to a state facility for youths. The teen, known as R.G., claimed he was a good kid before getting mixed up with a group involved in the shooting that left one dead and many injured. The incident began as an altercation between two groups, resulting in multiple charges, including murder. The teen received a 9 to 12-month commitment at a youth facility after admitting to charges of unlawful use of a weapon. Two other teens are also facing charges in connection with the shooting.
