Vikings lose fourth-round draft pick Khyree Jackson in tragic car accident at age 24
Minnesota Vikings rookie cornerback Khyree Jackson, aged 24, has died in a car accident. Selected in the fourth round of the 2024 NFL Draft, Jackson was one of three fatalities in the accident that occurred in Prince George’s County. Alcohol is suspected to have played a role in the crash. Oregon head coach Dan Lanning and Vikings GM and head coach expressed their devastation at the loss. Jackson, a big-bodied cornerback, played college football at Oregon after transferring from Alabama. Known for his talent and character, Jackson was named First Team All-Pac 12 in 2023. His death has deeply affected his family, friends, teammates, and coaches.
