Former Raiders QB faces lawsuit from former high school

Ex-Raiders Quarterback Sued by Former High School

JaMarcus Russell, the infamous NFL Draft bust, was fired as a volunteer assistant coach at Williamson High School for allegedly taking a $74,000 donation check meant for the school. He is being sued over the incident, where he solicited the donation from a local business owner. The school never received the money, and Russell withdrew $55,000 after depositing the check. Despite denying any wrongdoing, Russell has been banned from the campus and football program. After being the No. 1 pick by the Oakland Raiders in 2007, Russell lasted only three years in the NFL. Despite earning $36 million, he is considered one of the biggest busts in league history.
