Former Stanford Head Coach David Shaw Joins Denver Broncos Front Office
The Denver Broncos have hired former Stanford head coach David Shaw as a senior personnel executive. Shaw, who stepped down from Stanford in 2022, expressed a desire to return to the NFL where he previously worked as an assistant coach for nearly a decade. Shaw, 51, has a history with Broncos coach Sean Payton, as they worked together as offensive assistants with the Eagles in 1997. Shaw was also a candidate for head-coaching positions with the Broncos, Chargers, and Titans in recent years. He is Stanford’s winningest football coach with a record of 96-54 and is the only four-time Pac 12 Coach of the Year.
