Chargers release Linsley, who is retiring from NFL

Linsley released by Chargers as he announces retirement from NFL

Corey Linsley, center for the Los Angeles Chargers, has announced his retirement from the NFL due to a non-emergent heart issue that caused him to miss the final 14 games of the 2024 season. Linsley, who signed a five-year, $62.5 million contract in 2021, restructured his contract in February to benefit the team financially. The 32-year-old spent the first seven seasons of his career with the Green Bay Packers, where he was named first team All-Pro in 2020. Linsley expressed gratitude for his career and the relationships he formed during his time in the league, as he looks forward to the next chapter in his life.
