Gable Steveson of the Bills transitions from professional wrestling to football

Olympic gold medal wrestler Gable Steveson, aged 24, signed an undrafted rookie contract with the Buffalo Bills to transition from wrestling to football. Known for his agility and leverage techniques, Steveson aims to play as a defensive lineman. He achieved wrestling success at a young age, winning gold in Tokyo 2021, two college national titles, and the Dan Hodge Trophy. Steveson left amateur wrestling after his second college championship. Buffalo Bills released a punter to make room for Steveson and previously added former English rugby player Travis Clayton to the roster. Steveson has also dabbled in WWE and amateur wrestling.
