Russell Wilson talks about Steelers developing specialized plays for Justin Fields
Veteran quarterback Russell Wilson is allegedly competing with Justin Fields for the starting job with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Wilson is open to offensive coordinator Arthur Smith creating special packages for Fields to be used during regular-season games. Despite assumptions that the Steelers would have a competition for the QB1 position, reports suggest Wilson is on track to start when the season begins. Wilson praised Fields’ talent and is in favor of utilizing his athleticism to help the team win. Fields, on the other hand, is still hopeful to be named the starter but is willing to accept any assignments given to him. Wilson is also a betting favorite to win the Comeback Player of the Year Award.
