All-Pro running back David Johnson announces retirement after 8 successful seasons in the NFL
Former All-Pro running back David Johnson announced his retirement from the NFL after eight seasons at the age of 32. Johnson had his best season in 2016 with the Arizona Cardinals, leading the league in total yards from scrimmage. He dealt with injuries throughout his career but had a successful run with the Cardinals and later the Houston Texans. Johnson expressed gratitude for the support he received during his career and is looking forward to his next career path. He finished his career with 6,876 total yards and 57 touchdowns. Johnson was drafted by the Cardinals in 2015 from Northern Iowa.
