Former team captain makes surprising move with Rams
The Los Angeles Rams decided to part ways with wide receiver Ben Skowronek, a former draft pick and team captain. Instead of releasing him, they found a trade partner for the player. Skowronek was a reliable player for the Rams, contributing on offense and special teams. Despite not having impressive stats, he started 12 games over the past three seasons. The Rams have not made significant additions to their wide receiver room this offseason. Skowronek was not expected to have a major role in the team’s offense this season. Head coach Sean McVay has used him creatively in the past, even as a fullback. Skowronek played all 17 games in 2023 and is entering the final year of his rookie deal.
