Claypool signs 1-year deal with Bills as wide receiver

Alaina Getzenberg, a staff writer for ESPN, covers the Buffalo Bills and the NFL. The Bills signed wide receiver Chase Claypool to a one-year deal after the draft to add depth to their receiver room. Claypool, a 6-foot-4, 238-pound receiver, ran a 4.42 40-yard dash at the NFL combine in 2020. He has been with three different teams over the past two years, most recently with the Miami Dolphins. Claypool was previously with the Pittsburgh Steelers, where he had a standout rookie season with 11 touchdowns. The Bills also signed linebacker Deion Jones and defensive end Dawuane Smoot to one-year deals.
