35-year-old Former NFL CB Vontae Davis discovered deceased
Vontae Davis, former Colts cornerback, has passed away, confirmed by team owner Jim Irsay. Davis played in the NFL for the Dolphins, Colts, and Bills from 2009-2018, starting with Miami and Indianapolis where he became a Pro Bowler. He was drafted in the first round by the Dolphins in 2009 and was traded to the Colts in 2012. Davis had a successful career with the Colts, starting in 76 games and earning Pro Bowl invitations in 2014 and 2015. Known for his dominant play, Davis abruptly retired during halftime of his first game with the Bills in 2018, ending his career with 22 interceptions and 97 pass breakups.
